Project overview

The Erasmus+ project Illumine – A community for exploring and sharing uses of evidence-based teaching strategies, brings together educators, researchers, social enterprises, and schools from Spain, Estonia, Portugal, and Serbia. The aim of the Project is to help school teachers design more effective learning experiences for their students by making use of research-informed teaching methods that are grounded in cognitive neuroscience and that make use of digital technologies for education. During 11 workshops, 12 participating teachers learn about different strategies of the science of learning and co-create research lessons to replicate relevant studies, collect data about their own teaching situations, and produce learning and teaching materials that other teachers could use when applying the approaches of the science of learning. People responsible for the project at TLU are Merike Saar and Kairit Tammets (HTK).
